Entry with the Go Seattle Card
Seattle’s Museum of History and Industry (locals say MO-hi) presents interactive exhibits and programs that explore Pacific Northwest history. This extremely kid-friendly museum offers plenty of hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages. See the first airplane built by Boeing in 1919, the record-breaking Slo-Mo-Shun IV hydroplane, the glue pot that set the city ablaze in 1889, the enormous neon “R” from the old Rainier Brewery and countless other priceless icons from the distant and recent past. Realistic displays let you walk the streets of 1880s Seattle or try your hand in a salmon cannery. MOHAI also hosts traveling exhibits from the Smithsonian, the Library of Congress, and other museums worldwide and offers lectures by national and regional scholars, guided walking tours of historic areas, and educational activities for children.
